On Juy 19th 2010, young people from across England gathered in the picturesque setting of Ampleforth College to take part in Camp Vincent.
The SVP in England and Wales were kind enough to extend an invitation to us, which was readily taken up by myself, and 4 young people from the Diocese' of St Andrew's and Edinburgh and Dunkeld.

The theme of this years camp was the Creation Story, with participants looking at the qualities of each element of creation, in relation to themselves and their work with the SSVP.

The participants worked hard over the four days of camp, but there was also plenty of time for fun! The Camp Vincent quiz with its 'Famous Vincents' round and 'Upfront' rounds(not for the faint hearted!) went down a storm, as did the karaoke night on the Wednesday.
A big camp favourite is the 'It's a Knockout' competition, which involves lots of water, whipped cream and competitive hi-jinks!

Youth SSVP has groups in various parts of Scotland. Pictured on the right are the Dundee University Conference.

In Carfin, Viewpark, Paisley and Dundee, young people give their time and talents to provide a youth club for children and young people with disabilities.

Pictured here are members of the Carfin Ozanam Club.
