

Youth SSVP in Scotland groups operate in schools, colleges, universities and parishes and take part in activities such as :
providing meals and distributing clothing to the homeless and poor in Glasgow's Ozanam Centre
helping at the Salvation Army soup kitchen in Dundee
providing help and supervision at Ozanam Clubs for people with learning and physical difficultiies at various locations in Scotland.
helping senior citizens by organizing summer outings, dog -walking rotas and carrying out grass - cutting and garden-work during the summer months.
helping with a local church parish "Homestart" project for homeless people who have been given accommodation.
organizing a social afternoon, including a concert for senior citizens and people with learning difficulties.

The work of the SSVP reaches 37 million people in 142 countries. There are approximately 1million members.
In Scotland, there are 305 ' local branches(known as 'conferences') and 2125 members.
